Jon McKee Queen executes CIS EMEA fixed income and equity investment strategies for clients. He structures and develops ICM equity and debt placements in addition to projects under the Kyoto Protocol’s International Emissions Trading (Article 17) Mechanism, the Joint Implementation Mechanism, Clean Development Mechanism, and also under the WWF’s Gold Standard and the Voluntary Carbon Standard. He assists the Foundation for the Development of Environmental and Energy Markets, a non-profit NGO that promotes market and trading policy in Europe.

Before joining Jaspen Capital Partners, Jon was a Director at Phoenix Capital in Ukraine. Previously he was a Director of the Anemone Group organization of companies.

From 2006 to June 2008, Mr. Queen was the Senior Vice President of the International Environmental Trading Group and its Eastern European Head. Prior to IETG, he was a member of the financial services team at John Hancock and also an attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP, where he helped undertake the firm’s climate change and greenhouse gas business development initiative.

During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Queen worked on Capitol Hill for the House Banking and Financial Services Committee. Jon has basic Russian and proficient French language skills in addition to native English.
